The data referring to these current-conditions, according to measurements by Dr. Langbein, are given as completely as pos sible, while for the various baths, only formulae yielding entirely reliable results have been selected. To most of the baths a brief review of their mode of action and of their advantages for certain uses is added, thus enabling the operator to select the bath most suitable for his special purpose. To the few formula: which have not been tested, a note to that effect is in each case appended, and they are only given with due reserve.
