A History of Angels as told by Archangel Gabriel is the first book of The Gabriel Trilogy by Northcote artist and sculptor Rodford Belcher. Published by Croxton House, A History of Angels is an incredible insight into the realm of Angels as told to the author by Archangel Gabriel. After ten years working in animation and graphics, Rodford grew disillusion and walked away from his career. He set off around Australia in an old truck and ended up living in a tent in Broome WA, where his desire to create art returned. He started to have the most beautiful dreams about colourful spirits that were trying to help him through a time of great personal confusion and pain. His art became a medium to communicate with his soul. "I could never go back to commercial art again after this epiphany," he says. "My art became my solace and vehicle for self discovery." Encouraged to write down the origins of his work and their spiritual connections, Rodford discovered a new creative way to access his soul, through writing. With the guidance of author Mary Ryllis Clark, Rodford was encouraged to write his thoughts into a manuscript, resulting in The Gabriel Trilogy manuscripts, a three year writing odyssey. Rodford's meeting with Archangel Gabriel changed his life and the way he viewed himself and the known universe.
