Publisher's Synopsis
Jesse Turner, aged fifty-two, a truck farmer, and lame because of injuries in Vietnam, was surprised when his wayward daughter reappeared unexpectedly during a terrible snowstorm. She had been absent for a period of eight years, but now returned, accompanied by her four-year-old autistic son. During that time his wife had died, and he was lonely, miserable, and bitter. The daughter had experienced change in her attitude and was now determined to do all within her ability to make amends with her father, knowing such an endeavor would be difficult.
