The American Hairless Terrier is the only hairless dog breed that is native to the United States, and its development was a happy accident. The breed is now regarded as an energetic companion dog that is particularly good for allergy sufferers.
Some AHT fans refer to the new breed as hairless Rat Terriers, while others refer to it as AHT. Despite the fact that these are purebred dogs, they can still be found at shelters and rescues. Keep in mind to adopt! If this is the breed for you, don't go shopping.
