Publisher's Synopsis
Joey Ridgefield, a San Francisco television talk show hostess, accompanies her mother on a cruise to Mexico and meets fellow passengers Tom Hathaway and his wife. When the cruise ends, Tom, who lives 3,000 miles away, resurfaces in her life. Against their will and Joey's better judgment, they become involved, fall in love and Tom declares his desire to marry her.
As Joey struggles with her conscience, she maintains the long-distance relationship with a man who is at the time married to someone else. She experiences emotional tribulations and surprises along the way.
