Publisher's Synopsis
Joel, AKA 'the Rink' because he's so bald you could skate on it, is the very unpopular owner of the only bar in town - so unpopular that when he is found dead, it's not so much a question of who did kill him as who didn't. His customers certainly had plenty of motives... In a series of monologues, the locals tell us their stories in their own, very different voices. As the tension mounts and we're still none the wiser, the ending - in the form of Joel's final confession - is as shocking and tragic as it is unexpected.
