This book presents the complicated theory of cabled structures. Frequently the only feasible solution, and often the most economic, cable nets are a popular structure which have been extensively employed during the last 30 years.;Tensegric shells, the reticulated assembly of cables and bars, have only one bar at each node connected to the cables. There is a considerable similarity in the behaviour and problems which affect tensegric shells and cable nets, and these have been identified as cabled structures.;This book introduces a method by which cabled sructures can be analyzed following the general methods employed for standard reticulated structures, thus making it easy for engineers used to using the conventional methods to apply them to this field.
