Publisher's Synopsis
This text/atlas illustrates 100 important differential features in dermatopathology and shows how these features provide clues to differential diagnosis of skin disorders. For each clue, the book first presents a completely unidentified photomicograph. The next page shows the same photomicrograph as one in a sequence of three photomicrographs taken at low, intermediate, and high magnifications and identifies the clue and the specific disease. Dr Ackerman then discusses the clue, its limitations and subtle variations and the differential diagnosis of the disease to which the clue points. Additional photomicrographs follow which illustrate subtle variations or mimicking morphologic and clinical appearances that are easily confused with the clue and/or disease. The book is indexed by both disease entities and features.
