The second edition now includes several chapters on the kidney, reflecting the relationship between renal development and the urinary and genital tracts. This book has a unique focus: the patho-embryology and surgical anatomy of pediatric lesions. Anomalies throughout the anatomy are discussed, and the author draws distinctions between malformations and deformations. Though not primarily a textbook of detailed therapy, surgical options are provided on the basis of the editors' understanding of pathology and natural history of conditions.
