Una peque�a casa, pegada al convento, da albergue al hortelano, que en tanto hace estas funciones como las de mandadero, y por una peque�a puerta interior comunica con la huerta que est� a su cuidado. Cerca de la entrada de la casa del hortelano est� la del con vento, y en ella tienen las monjas un gran tomo, por donde reciben tanto comestibles como recados, cucar gos, etc., etc., y cuya vigilancia est� encargada una monja, cuya prudencia y edad sea compatible con este peque�o trato con el mundo, tan perjudicial y mal� volo siempre, al parecer de aquellas santas madres.
