Publisher's Synopsis
The majority of this book consists of a description of English, French and German law on each topic and sub-topic. This description includes the principles and rules, and, where appropriate, cases which illustrate their application. Each chapter is followed by questions, either calling for essay-style answers or posing practical problems for solution under the rules of each of the three legal systems. The book is intended for students of comparative law, French law and German law; for students of English law who wish to see their own legal system against the background of others; and for students who are comparatively new to law and want to study law as a subject which transcends national boundaries, rather than the rules of a particular system.
