Desiring a new beginning following a challenging divorce, Alex relocates to the tranquil coastal community. He rents a modest beach cottage in order to concentrate on his artwork and recover emotionally. While sufficient for the herd, Kit is concerned that the transition was too effortless. Eliminating the shifter does not satisfy all members of the flock. Gene contests the Alpha status of Jesse. Jesse is torn between allegiances and must make a decision that benefits the flock most, even if it necessitates his departure.
