This juveniles novel, The Bird, tells the story of a girl who falls off a cliff and becomes part of a boys dream. It was written by award-winning Chinese novelist Cao Wenxuan (1954), best known for his childrens literature works. He won the Golden Butterfly Prize at the Tehran International Film Festival in 1999 for his The Grass House, which has been adapted for a Chinese film.
