The time is approaching when the age of one-quarter of the population of industrialized countries will be over 65. Currently, the fastest growing segment is people over 80! They "graying" of America is upon us.;Epidemiologic studies have shown that by age 65, the great majority of otherwise healthy persons have at least one skin condition worthy of medical attention. About half will have to endure 2 to 3 cutaneous disorders which, if not life threatening, certainly ruin the quality of life, bringing in their wake discomfort, revulsion and distressing psycho-social derangements.
