To accommodate the different editions of The Bronze Bow, words are listed by chapter in the order they appear in the book with an alphabetical index in the back. Included in the Introduction is a brief essay and map of Ancient Palestine to assist readers in understanding the overall context of the story. There is also an essay regarding figurative language to assist readers with Speare's rich use of figurative language.
