Set in London in 1666 the story follows the lives of historical and fictional characters as they suffer to deal with the chaos and devastation of the Great Fire of London. Humble baker Thomas Farriner (Buchan) must come to terms with the fact that the fire that is rapidly destroying his beloved capital city began in his small bakery on Pudding Lane. Is he to blame?
