Publisher's Synopsis
This is a collection of anecdotes from my life as a Latino growing up in Pueblo, Colorado. The story begins in a very Hispanic side of Pueblo where I had completed sixth grade and was a member of a neighborhood club during summer vacation in 1969. The chapters take you skateboarding down a viaduct, muddling through three years of junior high school, into excess partying at high school, and beyond, The attempted growth toward maturity continues in college life and the mischief that can be achieved there at a time when streaking was a fad, 8-tracks were the latest technology, and peace and love were the rage. The bonds with my friends were strong and continue until death do us part. The tales and situations are true but the character's names have been changed and the conversations are somewhat contrived. There is adventure, romance, and bad decisions that make for interesting episodes.
