The Witten Administration Centre is an exception however. The old building's new glass steel facade is incorporated by a large wall-pane which, as a brick-clad frame is connected to the new building, in whose foyer it beckons through thin slits, large windows and house-high apertures.;The building is a seemingly plain structure; however, it is extraordinarily multifaceted in its complex order and disciplined in its formal instruments, materials and colours.
