Usually on your first day no one expects that you will do well until you are properly trained. As a Sales Advisor, I was to promote the item and then try to close the deal by making a sale. Our quota's varied from day to day but usually we were required to sell (20) items. On my first day I sold approximately 85 boxes of the item I was promoting!
