Divided into twelve chapters, Albert Ntibinyane first offers a brief history of investigative journalism in Africa, before focusing on behind-the-scenes vignettes chronicling the experiences of ten leading African muckrakers. These brief biographical sketches explore the contexts within which they work but focuses on their daily struggles, hopes and fears. Included are pictures, newspaper cuttings and other illustrations to complement the text.
