Written during the Covid 19 pandemic by middle school student Jenna Salloway and her grandmother Rose-Ellen Benkel "Jenna and the Genie" is the intriguing story of 11 year old Jenna who is kind to a stranger on her way home from school. Shortly thereafter strange things start happening. Along with her best friend Gracie Jenna sets out to investigate what is going on. Along the way she meets various interesting people in her town, gets involved with an old romance and planning a wedding, all in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, remote learning and a Presidential election. After navigating numerous twists and turns important lessons are learned.
