Keanu is sad. After his owners being mean, he finds himself living in a shelter. He gets a second chance when a nice, young couple adopt him. However, Keanu must then deal with the couple divorcing, and he and the man moving away and starting a new life.This book is based on the true story of a dog and his owner. It deals with changing family dynamics. It is told from the perspective of a cute little dog named Keanu, who, in this book, represents a child. It is at times sad, but has a very happy ending. It teaches children that, although sad and scary, divorce can have a happy ending, and it shows adults what children may feel while going through a situation such as adoption or divorce.
