Publisher's Synopsis
Frank Lewis is a middle-class, middle-aged, office worker who has drifted so far from his black roots that he never gives his colour a second thought. He sometimes wonders why all the junk mail he receives is so obviously directed at whites but that's as far as it goes. But a chance discovery of a photograph in a history book, of his own father being lynched, forces him to confront his roots.
