The book is a story of a young man in his 20s brought up in Jehovah's Witness community. The story talks about a young person struggling to cope as a gay man in a society that strongly discourages homosexual relationships. The author describes the child abuse he witnessed and was subjected to as well as the issue of social compliance which lead to him to being disfellowship and disowned by his family and friends. The author talks about his struggles as a homeless 16 year old disowned by his family and friends only because he was born gay. He is now in his mid 20s and had few years to come to terms with his experiences and feels ready to tell the story of his fight for love and the new life he was given. The life of a young man who grew up in a strict religious community and how he ended up catching up on what he had missed out on. The book is the author's first ever published work; a story of violence, love, sexual experimentation, disappointments and true love.
