This atlas aims to give children a feel for the diversity of peoples and places around the world. There are five sets of maps for each country: a locator map; a satellite map; a political map; a full cartographic map; and a physical map.;There are also: country-by-country fact-files on population, land areas, capital cities, languages, dates of independence and currency; illustrated time-lines of significant historical events; coverage of lifestyles, cultures and indigenous peoples; and illustrated explanations of how the main physical features were formed on planet Earth - such as mountains and glaciers - specifically related to the countries being considered on each spread.
