The voucher system is used. While the use of vouchers is by no means limited to corporations, yet this system is especially adapted to the uses of corporations and may be considered a typical feature of corporation accounting. The voucher system would not be readily adaptable to a business in which settlement was made on the monthly statement instead of on the invoice. Its advantages are particularly marked in a busi ness wherein the preservation of a receipt for every disbursement is regarded as essential.
