Matthew Moriarty has messed things up before, but not on this scale. When he helps out a friend by working in a nightclub, he gets on the wrong side of the wrong man - local gangster Bernie Mueller. The record company needs to find him, and Moriarty seems like their best hope. The search leads Moriarty into mortal danger, and back into the roots of friendship, and on to a final confrontation with an old enemy.
