My Sock Market Crashed tells of a boy, Dylan, helping his grandmother sell the beautiful socks she knits. A venture into mass production is abandoned because Grammy could not knit fast enough to supply her popular socks for the demand, and the socks provided by the mass-production company were not nearly as desirable as Grammy's.
