The book "Nocturnal Thoughts" is a unique collection poetry which explores the various themes of mental illness, melancholia, and post-breakup loneliness. The book is divided into three parts.
The first part "Schizophrenia and Other Poems," explores the various themes and aspects of mental illness and disorders such as OCD, Schizophrenia, Restless Legs Syndrome, Insomnia, Clinical Depression etc. This part contains some real-life incidents that the author has seen or personally experienced.
The second part "Melancholia" deals with the themes of melancholy, nostalgia, loneliness, grief, loss etc. In this part, some poems explore the beliefs, lifestyles, superstitions of Indian (not Native American) people mostly living in small towns and rural areas and its gradual disappearance with the passage of time.
The third part "Metamorphosis" describes the complete transformation of two young adult lovers and touches the themes of jealousy, gloom, rejections etc. It is also a journey from incompleteness to completeness and again from completeness to incompleteness. It will make you sad, nostalgic, and lonely. It will also give you inspirations to start again and move on.
