This is a collection of Locke's most important political writings, which had great impact on the Cromwellians and after the Restoration laid the foundations of modern liberalism. This collection consists of "Two Tracts on Government" (1660-62), "Essay Concerning Toleration" (1667), "Two Treatises on Government" (1680s - a defence of revolution) and three short pieces defending toleration (1689-1704).
