Emily has recently lost her mother to cancer. Polly, a special pot-bellied pig has also lost friends and special people in her life and is adjusting to her new home at Young's Pet Shop. Polly wants desperately to be adopted and Emily needs someone to help her get through this time of grief. With some unanticipated assistance from Mr. Young's daughter Ashley, both Emily and Polly discover they can rely on each other to get them through these difficult times.
