When she was a child, she suffered from severe polio and later suffered a terrible accident that left her disabled and suffering. Shortly after the accident, Frida began to paint, through her surreal, symbolic self-portrait, describing the pain she suffered and the sadness she felt because of her infertility. This book tells Frida's life through her own works and describes how she started to create those well-known paintings.
