Publisher's Synopsis
This anthology marks the tenth anniversary of the Portobello Book Festival. It is the creative outcome of an invitation to local writers, and others closely associated with the Festival, to write on the theme 'Postcards from Portobello'. Contributors were encouraged to interpret the title as they wished: fact or fiction; imagined or real; past, present or future. It offers a lasting expression of the distinctiveness of Edinburgh's seaside community, as seen through the eyes of some of its many writers.
