Publisher's Synopsis
God tells us that He has our back. The prophet, Isaiah, uses the word "rereward" which is a term that has pretty much become obsolete in modern day language. Rereward is a word which means a "rear guard" or "rear protection." As Christians, there are times in our lives when we feel the walls closing in, and an unseen enemy pursuing us. It is at those times when we must realize that He is a God that not only goes before us, (I Chronicles 14:15) but He ordains our steps, (Psalm 37:23) surrounds us like "the mountains are around Jerusalem" (Psalm 125:2) and IS our protection from what lies behind us (Isaiah 52:12). Pastor Mark DeLap brings practical and thought provoking insights and inspiration from God's Word from his daily blog at Streetfire Ministries. This work was brought forth in hopes that it would not only be an encouragement to you-but would cause a deeper desire to get into His Word. Psalm 34:8 O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.
