Brooklyn is fresh out of high school and looking to get away from her past. What better way to do that than going to college out of state? The only things she planned on taking with her to the dirty south were her New York state of mind and her best friend, Anika. While in North Carolina, Anika's neck of the woods, life changes for both Brooklyn and Anika.
When Brooklyn finds new love from a local d-boy named Knucks, she starts to pay attention to all of the negative qualities that her best friend, Anika, has always had. Being tossed into the lion's den no one but the country savage comes to her aide when her life is hanging in the balance.
