SCSI is the universal standard when it comes to connecting computer peripherals such as hard diskdrives, CD-ROM drives and removable disk drives, tape streamers, scanners and even digital photographic cameras. Thanks to the versatility and excellent performance, SCSI has become prominent in the professional computing business, and is currently penetrating the consumer market as well. The author uses his experience to convey knowledge as regards incorporating SCSI into a computer system and exploiting the performance of peripheral devices to the full.
