Chittagong has become the main place in the world for taking apart large ocean going ships & oil tankers, a massive recycling industry commonly known as shipwrecking. The shipyard complex consists of flat beaches & sand-banks where ships are broken down for their steel. Tomasz Gudzowaty photographed shipwreckers at work in 2004 & 2005.
