SMART is an integrated software package which comprises a word processor, spreadsheet, database, communications, time manager and calculator tied together by a common menu style and the ability to exchange data between the separate packages.;This book introduces novices to the separate features of the package and using the principles of teaching by example leads the reader into using the SMART system. Section one covers aspects of the system in broad outline at an elementary level. The following sections look at each module in turn and develop the ideas introduced in the first section. Throughout the book new concepts are introduced by example and all the examples relate to a single situation - the Sales Department of a mythical company called ABC Supplies.
