Publisher's Synopsis

How many secondary school children are regular smokers? How many cigarettes do they smoke on average in a week? Are they more likely to smoke if a member of their immediate family does? This report presents the findings of the sixth national survey of secondary-school children and their smoking habits. This year's survey also included a short section of questions about drinking to provide information about the amount and types of alcohol pupils drank, and two questions about solvent abuse were asked for the first time.
