This study assessed the effectiveness of a Function-Based cessation assessment and protocol in the absence of nicotine replacement against a progressive and resetting VoucherBased protocol. The assessment utilized a 5-point Likert for the 144 questions across four functions, six sub-categories, and six questions. If participants were unsuccessful in titrating down in tandem with their individualized behavior plan on a regular schedule (e.g., 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%), they would advance to a Voucher-Based treatment
