Publisher's Synopsis
This collection of light verse is approachable, easy to read and meant to entertain or perform, rather than mystify. Among them are poems in free verse which are, for the most part, more serious. But even in the rhymed, lighter variety there are often dark overtones and a sting in the tail. The collection is divided into themes; political issues, religion, love, gender, old age, and so on, mostly charting the pleasure, conflicts and frustrations in life as well as the humour.
