The Green Mountain Sheriff's and Law Enforcement Convention occurred every five years. This year it was the turn of West Sugar Shack Falls to host the convention. Jedediah Smith and Ezekiel Peters enthusiastically volunteered their huge, new fitness center as the convention center. Everyone was excited and enthusiastic for the conference to begin. Then, as everyone settled down for a wonderful three days of presentations and comraderie, it happened. With more than thirty-five law enforcement officers in attendance the unthinkable became reality. Follow Sheriff Cash Green and his deputies Ericka Yamato and Horace Scofield as they follow the clues to find out who had committed a heinous crime right under all their noses. The chase for the culprit takes them into the wilds of Maine, where they end up on a most unusual hunt.
