August is fortunate to live in Assur. Regardless of the unstable weather, temperamental power, and the buzzing of a constant governmental presence; it's somewhat of a safe haven compared to the cities outside. She's three generations removed from the fall of the city, and as such, her immediate plans are to finish university, figure out what she wants to do with her life, and keep out of trouble. It could have been easy if not for her collision with a man whose very appearance should have been an impossibility.
