The Tearman Sapphire is the first in the Mercenaries Code Saga. Willing pawns in the games or greater people, mercenaries have always been used. Now with the Mercenary's Code in place for nearly sixty years, the men and women who sell their swords are more respected and trustworthy. Still, some mercenaries play their own games within the games of others. Ezar finds the accepotin, a contract to retrieve the Tearman Sapphire, protecting the person who hired him, which was unexpectedly emotional, a trait he could never afford to give in to. An attachment that could lead to the discovery of his true lineage would spell his doom even by the one who hired him, even by she whom he has fallen in love with.
