The story of the Indian in the region of the Kennebec is one full of interest to all citizens of the State of Maine. It is not expected that we shall be able in this short account to mention all the details of the stirring events of the time which elapsed between the date when Indian history in this region begins and ends. Our purpose is to brie?y state the story of the leading events of that stirring period.
