Laney Jennings is invited to Paradise, California to work at her grandmother's youth camp and unexpectedly finds herself on a journey of survival with her childhood crush, Jonathan Reed. They become an important part of history when they arrive back in 1960 where Laney's grandparents are just beginning to build the camp. Spending every day with Jonathan and working to find their way back home, Laney's feelings for him are reignited. She reminds herself, however, that he has a girlfriend and decides to settle for just being friends.
