Publisher's Synopsis

Text in German. Peter Bukowski will retire in October 2015 as Director of the Seminary for Pastoral Education in Wuppertal. First as a lecturer in homiletics, liturgy and poimenik, then since 1999 as its director, he shaped the Wuppertal training center for vicars over a long period of time. In addition, he has been a volunteer moderator of the Reformed Union since 1990 and represented it in national (e.g. in the Evangelical Church in Germany) and international church associations (e.g. in the World Community of Reformed Churches) until he left office in April 2015 . With "Leading us to life. Preaching hope" there is now a commemorative publication for Peter Bukowski. Colleagues, students and companions from various national and international contexts refer to his work with their sermons of hope, especially to his homiletic suggestions, e.g. They do this with sermons because an essential part of Peter Bukowski's work was the task of preaching; specifically with hope sermons, because that was always his practical interest: finding answers to the question of what is important in our life, even after death. With contributions by Dietmar Arends, Uwe Becker, Michael Beintker, Andrea Bieler, Gustáv Bölcskei, Petra Bosse-Huber, Michael Bünker, Alexander Deeg, Sabine Dreßler, Martin Dutzmann, Matthias Freudenberg, Anke Gödersmann, Thies Gundlach, Martin Heimbucher, Walter Herrenbrück, Manfred Josuttis, Ursula Josuttis, Bertold Klappert, Annette Kurschus, Volker A. Lehnert, Lisa Neuhaus, Christiane Nolting, Kathrin Oxen, David Plüss, Achim Reinstädtler, Manfred Rekowski, Jörg Schmidt, Nikolaus Schneider, Beate Sträter, Gerd Theißen, Hellmut Zschoch.
