Publisher's Synopsis
This book promotes debate on values in further education. It constitutes an important contribution to the field, and will facilitate staff and policy development in values education of adult learners.
This volume presents the outcome of a research project undertaken by the University of Strathclyde, Scotland. While its exemplars do not form a definitive list of values in all institutions of continuing education, they provide a firm basis for understanding, since they reflect the views of a wide range of workers and participants, from students, through managers, teachers and receptionists, to staff developers.
