Publisher's Synopsis

Synopsis: This is a fictional story about animals and people of all kinds living happily together in the land of Kemerick. Everyone got along until tragedy struck and the camels, rabbits, and cats became jealous of each other and started fighting. A Sorcerer appeared and demanded that the animals stop fighting. When they didn't, he roared back into town and used his magic sword to change them into an animal that had attributes of all three of them - a camelrabbitcat or TACTIBBARLEMAC. The tactibbarlemacs were washed away in a flood and lived happily underground until curious Tacti found his way back to Kemerick and wound up in a house where he met baby Victor. And the adventures began...

Autobiography: Jan Atkinson is an attorney who has been writing short stories for over forty years. The concept of a "tactibarrlemac" (camel rabbit cat) was created while in college. When her grandson, Victor, was an infant she began entertaining him with stories about the funny animal named Tacti and his adventures. Jan is a Baltimore native now living in Raleigh and enjoys being "Nana", playing golf and cheering for her Maryland sports teams.
