The course of history is a pendulum, swinging from one extreme to another... 'Weasel' is the story of an unfortunate misfit, a member of a Humanity that has spiralled further and further out into the stars, held together by the draconian government of the Correctorate, colloquially dubbed 'The Big Regime'. Weasel is a "gutter-surfer" - a soldier in the criminal Underworld, formed from the uneducated social scum that the Correctorate has left to fester neglected for centuries. In the Underworld's ongoing war of spite against the Regime, Weasel finds himself a casualty of misfortune, and with exile or death as his only options, he flees from his homeworld. A new planet means a new start for Weasel. With his Underworld past behind him, it's the perfect chance to try and get out of the gutter forever. But as Weasel's efforts to make a fresh start become more complicated, he comes to learn about Humanity before the Correctorate. And how the pendulum of history is ready to swing back again.
